In the last few days, you’ve probably heard that gyms will begin to
re-open as of May 18th. Our planning for a slow return to the gym has been
underway for weeks and this message is meant to shed some light on
how we at Crossfit Hutto are choosing to handle things when we re-open.
We’ve organized a Phased approach to our reopening, designed
to reconcile a number of variables in the best possible way. We know some
are excited to return and others need more time. Below you'll find a brief
overview of each Phase. For a full breakdown of all new protocols and
more insight into our vision for the future keep reading below.

are excited to return and others need more time. Below you'll find a brief
overview of each Phase. For a full breakdown of all new protocols and
more insight into our vision for the future keep reading below.
PHASE 1
Minor updates began to the gym including paint
touch ups, de-cluttering and reorganization.
Deep cleaning of the entire gym is complete.
Our remaining equipment, our floor matting, the various handles and knobs from doors and faucets will be scrubbed and sanitized for a clean, fresh start.
Additional sanitation items have been added through-out the gym. We now have 4 hands free sanitizers: 1 immediately when you walk into the office, 1 near the water station and 2 located on the gym floor.
We have also added a hands free napkin and soap dispenser in the bathroom to limit
the touching of additional surfaces.
Lastly we have created social distancing boxes for each member to have the required space on the floor for working out. Each person will have the appropriate 6 feet between them and another member.
PHASE 2
We will begin hosting daily outdoor workouts for our members outside the gym.
These classes will begin Friday May 8th and continue until May 15th.
Digital workouts will continue for those who prefer to train at home.
These classes will be for members only and you
must register for your class ahead of time to be guaranteed a spot. Please make sure you attend the class time registered for, since we only have limited spots. If you can't attend please remove yourself from the check in. We will have a 6 person cap on these classes. Athletes will also be provided their own towel and a spray bottle for cleaning their equipment after use. |
Outdoor Class Times will be
5am 6am 9am 10am 5pm 6pm Monday Wednesday Friday 7:30pm Monday & Wednesday Only Online Zoom Classes will be 5:30am 11am 4:30pm 6:30pm Tuesday & Thursday Members will have more than enough distance between one another per social distancing recommendations. We have also provided a tent for shade for members who prefer to not be in the sun. |
PHASE 3
May 18th our normal class schedule will resume in doors! We will have a new protocol for attending classes at the gym.
You will first need to register for the class
you will be attending. Every member will now enter and exit one way. The entry will be through the office and the exit will be the door in the gym area. We have added gates to the bay doors so we can keep the doors open while making sure each person enters and exits the gym properly. When you arrive at the gym and enter you will be greeted by our front desk person who will make sure you sanitize your hands/wash hands and sanitize your phone. You will also be given a clean towel that you will then take to your station and use to clean your equipment when you are done. We will have a designated bin to put the dirty towel once you are done. |
Class capacity will be limited to 12 people
to ensure there is enough space for social distancing. Each member will be able to choose the spot they would like once they enter the gym floor. We ask that any items you need for the workout be taken to your designated space before class begins. We will have 15 minutes in between each class to allow coaches to make sure all equipment was cleaned properly before the next class begins. We will not utilize the rowers, bikes or ski erg until more restrictions have been lifted by the Governor. We love getting to chat with everyone and socialize, but in this first phase of the Governor opening business's up, we ask that after class you socialize outside. |
